Pastor/ Assistant Pastor

The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), a non-profit organization, is seeking to immediately fill the position of Pastor/ Assistant Pastor. RCCG is an international church established in 1952 and is currently with a global presence in over 120 countries of the world. In Sweden, the church is in sixteen different cities, and has branches in all the major cities within the Nordic countries. English is the official language of communication and the fundamental beliefs of the church can be found on our website www.rccgstockholm.org. We strive to be community-focused and thus provide a conducive atmosphere for worship where spiritual and physical needs are not only met, but overall guidance and counselling, community and charity services are also adequately rendered/catered for.

Your Responsibilities:
? To assist the pastor in all areas of his functional work
? Teaching and preaching the undiluted message of the Bible (the gospel of Jesus Christ)
? Offer guidance, counselling, praying for and on behalf of people
? Overseeing/supervising the church affairs, its different departments and board of trustee
? Perform child naming and dedication, water baptism, marriage ceremony, burial and other functions
? Conduct community services, visitations, follow-up and outreaches
? Any other duties as may be appropriately assigned from time to time.

We are looking for;
? A is genuinely born again Christian, baptized in water and the Holy Spirit, and ready to serve God and His people
? A person with integrity and sufficiently patient, and one who is ready to answer the call of duty even at odd hours
? You should have charisma, be of good character and prudent in all your mannerism
? You should have the ability to comfortably operate in other cultures other than your own i.e. be open-minded, accommodating and considerate in your approach to multi-culturalism
? A result-oriented person with an unwavering faith and exhibiting strong leadership skills.
? Your oral and written communication skills in both English and Swedish should be very good.
? Possession of an additional language(s) and the ability to learn other European languages would be an added advantage
? Should be flexible and willing to travel within Sweden for Church Mission work as well as around Europe from time to time.

Qualifications
? Must have at least a bachelor degree. A masters degree or higher would be preferable.
? Must either have graduated from The Redeemed Christian Church of God's School of Disciples (SOD) or The Redeemed Christian Church of God's Bible College (RCBC) or preferably both.
? Must have at least 2-4 years of experience as a pastor or assistant pastor or as an active worker under the supervision of a pastor in The Redeemed Christian Church of God
? Must fully embrace RCCG's church-planting tenets and have a cross-cultural acumen in ministry as evidenced by your extensive global travel experience
? Must be able to work independently without supervision and have the ability to initiate community-based projects as well as aptly supervise the same to deliver milestones within prescribed time-frames.
