Patient Safety Specialist
We are now looking for a Patient Safety Specialist for an assignment at AstraZeneca. You need to be fluent in English language with excellent communication skills, both verbally and written.

The Patient Safety Interface Organisation (PSIO) is working closely to oversee and manages the case handling process and vendor (s) to ensure optimal execution in this area including working towards high quality standards and compliance with regulatory requirements. PSIO also manage requests from Patient Safety and other functions within AZ and manages the Interface to regulatory.

The primary focus of this role is to contribute to the day to day work and to maintain and develop the partnership with the vendor (s). The position requires regular contact with persons of influence to develop new ways of working, a high level of cultural sensitivity and interactive communication. This necessitates considerable tact, discretion and persuasion to obtain desired outcomes while maintaining ongoing professional relationships



The role

We are looking for a Patient Safety Specialist that will work in global teams to support pharmacovigilance processes and standards.  

The successful individual will be expected to act independently and collaboratively with global colleagues and stakeholders across all functions in AstraZeneca. This will require an awareness of, and adherence to, the PV regulations under which AZ operates. Contribute the day to day work and to maintain and develop the partnership with the vendor (s). Work in in global teams to support pharmacovigilance processes and standards.



Minimum requirements

• Life Sciences education/Pharmacy degree
• Pharmacovigilance
• Fluent in English language with excellent communication skills, both verbally and written, with the ability to work across cultures and to represent AstraZeneca externally, if required.


Preferred experience/requirements

• A comprehensive knowledge of AstraZeneca and Patient Safety policies, processes, procedures and specialist areas as these pertain to the relevant roles
• Case handling experience
• case processing
• regulatory reporting
• patient safety operations
• Contracts and/or Clinical Development experience is desirable
