ABB Power Grid is currently seeking a PG IS Applications Manager, Nordics for its Västerås, Sweden location. In this role, you will work as a critical link between the global Platforms & Applications Team and the local teams responsible for distinct applications. You will establish and manage all active services, activities, and operations in scope for IS application landscape (Non-ERP) in Nordics cluster. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring proper alignment with PG Global Application guidelines and architecture in accordance to business priorities. You will also provide guidance and oversight to other application managers in the Nordics Cluster to implement and drive strong governance to achieve operational excellence using standard quality metrics and KPIs.

Your responsibilities
Lead the IS team that maintains the cluster PG IS Applications Landscape.
Ensure services are delivered according to agreed SLAs/OLAs, within budget, time and quality utilizing internal IS delivery and service providers.
Provide cost transparency and proactively enquire efficiency improvement opportunities.
Ensure effective interfaces and communication between local/global IS teams for all IS activities.
Consult and give advice to ensure others comply with PG IS Applications Architecture.
Make sure (with HR Manager support) that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed.
Ensure continuous service improvement of the IS Applications Services across the cluster, including performance management and operational demand.
Maintain relationships with IS and business management at Global and Regional level to clarify trade-offs for cost, time and demand and manages expectations and requirements for delivery of IS services.
Lead the capture, analysis, assessment, aggregation and prioritization of new IS business facing Applications service demand as part of IS Service portfolio management for relevant area.
Contribute to satisfaction with IS services by assessing expectations, verifying that actions are taken to close any gaps, and influencing stakeholder perceptions of Applications services.
Drive adherence to Global and regional governance model, enforce use of established tools, methods and procedures within the team.

Your background
A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science, engineering or business management.
10 years of experience in IS Applications Management and Service Delivery in multinational companies.
Experience and ability to work with virtual delivery teams as well as distributed stakeholders.
Strong experience in managing IS organizations.
Strong writing, editing, proofreading, layout and design knowledge, including ability to present concepts verbally.
Proficient English language skills. Swedish skills are beneficial.
