Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Innnovation....

Innovation and Product Realisation (IPR), a division within The School of Innovation, Design and Engineering (IDT), brings together the scientific competences within engineering, innovation and information design necessary to develop new products, services and production systems in a technical leading, economically viable and environmentally sustainable manner. The interdisciplinary profile of processes, methods and tools are unique and differentiate our academic environment. Research is conducted within three research groups: Design and Visualization, Innovation Management and Product Realisation, with the joint graduate subject Innovation and design. National strategic research funds have been granted together with KTH within manufacturing engineering (XPRES). The environment runs the industrial graduate school Innofacture and the collaboration platform Mälardalen Industrial Technology Centre, MITC. In 2013, we were also appointed as Academic preferred research partner by AB Volvo within the area of production systems.

We are now expanding and are looking for reinforcement in the form of a postdoctoral fellow. The advertised postdoctoral fellow position is aimed at strengthening our common knowledge centre in the field of innovation and product realisation, focusing on the integration of skills, visualization, design and development processes, and complex socio-technical systems in an industrial context.

The postdoctoral research fellow position is a teaching position where the teacher shall be given the opportunity to develop his/hers independence and qualifications as a researcher, as a basis for another teaching position. The post doc position implies that at least 75% of the employment is devoted to research. Up to 25 % of the employment can be devoted to second-cycle education, preferably within IPRs new international master in Innovation and design.
