Department of Clinical Science and Education, Södersjukhuset, pursues undergraduate education, research education and internationally recognized research focusing on common diseases and injuries. The goal of all activities is to improve human health. The department has about 50 employees, 80 graduate students, 140 affiliated and a turnover of 68 million.



Research group
The research group - Anna Nopp is a part of the Department of Clinical Science and Education, Södersjukhuset and performs translational studies with focus on diagnosis and treatment of allergy and asthma.

The research spans from from technical development to clinical implementation.

Duties
The postdoctoral researcher will work with studies focused on developing a new cell-on chip based assay for clinical diagnosis and monitoring of allergic individuals. The studies will be conducted on cell line and clinical samples. The postdoctoral researcher is expected to plan, execute, and analyse experiments in collaboration with members of the research group including the research group leader, laboratory technician and PhD-students.

Entry requirements
Applicants to this position must have a background in medical biotechnology with a PhD in Medical Science. We are seeking a highly motivated person, with excellent communication skills and an interest in medical technology. Previous experience in cellular immunology, cell culture, flow cytometric analyses, nano-biotechnology, cell-on-chip development and fluorescence microscopy is mandatory. It is also important that the applicant have good communication skills, the ability to interact effectively and work productively with other researchers within the team. Complete fluency in both written and spoken English is a request.
