Position description
We are looking for a self-propelled senior engineer with several years of experience, high motivation and with a clear profile and skills as mentioned below. You shall have great commitment and a willingness to participate in the development of technology and systems for tomorrow's vehicles. Part of your job tasks will be to generate a high level set of HW requirements for an ECM (Enginge Control Module) for Electric Vehicle usage and take part of the procurement process.

You will take part in setting up sourcing documents such as Statements of Requirements based on user's needs and other constraints such as markets, functional safety, cost, environment, dependability, reliability, quality and time. You will also make sure that the high level HW requirements are consistent, complete, correct, and operationally defined. You will take part in performing cost-benefit analyses to determine whether requirements are best met by software, or hardware functions at the same time making maximum use of commercial off-the-shelf or already developed components. You will interface directly with the stakeholders in order to determine needs to be realized in hardware such as uC selection, memory needs, clock speed, watchdog, safety concepts etc. You will also need to interface directly with the software architect or engineer(s), and with other Mechanical and Electrical Engineers. Furthermore you will also be responsible of generating a set of acceptance test requirements together with designers, test engineers and the user, which determine that all of the high level requirements have been met.

Skills & Requirements
- B.Sc or M.Sc in Electrical Engineering/Information Technology/Computer Science.
- Minimum of 7 years of control unit design and development preferably as HW-designer/architect.
- Familiarity with current in-vehicle controller systems, preferably ECMs or other complex control units.
- Knowledge of System-Level Integration of Vehicle Networks (protocols like CAN, LIN, K-line, KW2000 etc).
- Experience with device driver layers and HW architecture tradeoffs.
- Deep knowledge of functional safety (ISO26262), FMEA, FTA.
- Communicative English and Swedish both verbal and written.
- Be familiar with the development in the automotive industry.
- Experience in the procurement process is an advantage.
- Merit having worked with subcontractors in the automotive industry.
- Being able to travel on a frequent basis.
- Driving license.
