The H&M Group Communications department brings stories to life by creating and distributing engaging content through internal and external channels. As part of the Group Communications department the Media Relations & Social Listening team is instrumental in building reputation and trust for the H&M Group through the way we are depicted in media. We are thrilled to announce a position in the H&M Group Communications department – Press Officer.
We are now looking for two new colleagues with genuine interest in media relations and in providing personal support, training and guidance on communications and media related matters, to join our team as Press Officers. We are offering one permanent position and one temporary position (6 months).
Job Description
As Press Officer you work with proactive and reactive media related tasks, such as:
Be a spokesperson for the group when appointed
Respond to incoming media requests
Draft group messages, Q&As and statements
Develop media strategies and plans
Research, write and publish press releases
Organize press events, meet and greets, interviews and press trips
Maintain and develop the group’s network within key media and opinion formers
Anticipate and detect communication needs and risks
Act as an advisor to group functions on communication and media needs with a 360º approach
Train and support company spokespersons
Manage and schedule interviews
Media monitoring and analysis
Crisis communications
Press duty

Qualifications
For you to succeed as a Press officer we believe that you are/have:
Education: Higher education in communication, journalism and / or marketing (or other relevant higher education)
Experience from working as a journalist or with media relations, public relations, investor relations, preferably at a listed company.
Proficient in MS Office 365
Excellent ability to express yourself in English and Swedish, both verbally and in writing
