Privacy Specialist, Employee Privacy

We are strengthening our group level Privacy-team and looking for an information privacy professional with the special focus area of employee privacy. The position is in Group Security & Privacy, Privacy-team reporting directly to our Group Privacy Officer.

Job description
Privacy Specialist’s main responsibilities with the special focus in employee privacy include:

Facilitate implementation of Telia Company’s internal and legal privacy requirements e.g. by developing group level steering documents and by providing guidance and group level interpretations of legal requirements (e.g. related to GDPR) Support and train local Privacy Officers and other stakeholders Support Group Privacy Officer in development, maintenance, execution of privacy governance in Telia Company group as well as in monitoring compliance Identify and develop best practices to enable using group synergies and scale advantages as well as seek opportunities within privacy Be responsible for various assignments related to employee privacy and privacy in general Increase privacy awareness and competences Identify, evaluate, manage, report and monitor privacy risks Measure, monitor and report status, compliance as well as privacy metrics
You are

A business minded, creative and result oriented professional with analytical and well organized way of working A responsible person with the ability to work both independently and in a group Good at working hands-on in solving problems with pragmatic approach and balancing risks and business interests Capable of translating legal requirements and other complex issues into easy-to-understand business language Open to work in a multi-cultural organization across borders
Knowledge and skills

An university degree preferably in law or in other relevant field accompanied with data protection and/or legal studies At least 1-3 years of experience working in the data protection / information privacy field, preferably related to employee privacy Practical knowledge of the EU level data protection requirements Good communication skills and fluent in English, both written and spoken Ability to produce well-written and pragmatic documents and presentations Experience in working in a multinational company as well as understanding of HR processes and/or employment law is beneficial
