Process Improvement Manager, Albany International

Albany International Corp. is a global leader in advanced textiles and materials processing with two core businesses. Machine Clothing produces custom-designed fabrics and belts for production in the paper, nonwovens, and other process industries. Albany Engineered Composites supplies highly engineered composite parts for the aerospace industry. Albany International AB Halmstad, located in Sweden, is the primary supplier of paper machine clothing for the global paper industry.

We are looking for a new PIM Manager to lead the Process Improvement Management department at our plant in Halmstad. The ideal candidate will have a background in engineering with experience leading projects within quality and process improvement in an industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and plan the PIM-team activities to assure the production process, quality system and goals

- Lead and plan the Lean and continuous improvement work for the PIM-team

- Lead, analyze, plan and follow-up tasks to identify the root cause of non-value adding activities

- Lead and plan the implementation of process-change and process improvement, assuring documentation and good traceability

- Lead and plan activities with other Albany sites, globaly

- Responsible for maintaining an overview and interaction with Technology- and R&D projects and their impact on production processes

Requirements:

- Engineering education or equivalent.

- Experience in leading industrial projects regarding process improvement.

- Some experience in Lean and/or Six Sigma Black Belt.

- Fluent in English both written and verbally.

Ability to engage people in all parts of the company and a skill in organizing projects according to Lean is also needed.
