  Process Specialist in New Technologies & Innovation   Process Specialist i Nya teknologier och innovationer

SKF Group Manufacturing Development (GMD), with a team of 70 employees of various nationalities, has a responsibility for developing new manufacturing processes and equipment for ultimate use in SKF factories distributed worldwide. Accordingly, GMD endeavours to keep informed on all new technology developments and how they can be applied to improve production efficiency, quality and performance of SKF products. 

 

Key tasks

* To initiate, define and execute activities and lead projects developing technologies new to the SKF Group.
* To keep aware of external technology developments and translate new findings into opportunities for the SKF Group.
* To drive open innovation activities, track unsolicited ideas related to manufacturing technologies and to develop a good working cooperation network with key actors.
* To work with universities, research institutes and suppliers to develop new competence for the SKF Group.

 

Requirements

* University degree – MSc or PhD in engineering
* At least 5 years working experience in engineering.
* A genuine technology interest and a broad and deep technology understanding.
* High level of own drive and commitment.
* Excellent communication skills, fluency in English is a prerequisite, other language skills are advantageous.
* Ability to interact and create shared commitment at different organizational levels.
* Experience of project management and/or working in a project based organization is an advantage.
* Ability to use CAD as a development tool to visualise ideas and to make drawings for demonstrators is an advantage.
* Willingness to travel and work abroad on short assignments
