Sökord: Civilingenjör, MSc, BSc, maskin, metall, material, metallurgi, metallografi, ultraljud, Eddy Current, tillverkning, oförstörande provning. SKF Group MDC (Manufacturing Development Centre) has a responsibility for developing new manufacturing processes and equipment for ultimate use in SKF factories distributed worldwide. Accordingly MDC endeavours to keep informed on all new technology developments and how they can be applied to improve production efficiency, quality and performance of SKF products. 

We are now looking for a person with experience from Non Destructive Testing/Examination processes like UltraSonic evaluation, Eddy Current or other Micro Magnetic testing methods. We believe that the person also has a background/experience in metallurgy and/or metallography to be able to relate NDT to material imperfections. The person should be highly motivated to work with the technology development both in an R&D and a factory environment.

Key Tasks

* To drive and develop Non Destructive Testing/Evaluation methods and equipment for SKF manufacturing.
* To support in ultrasonic evaluation of materials in various development projects in MDC.
* To support in implementation of new non destructive testing methods and equipment in SKF factories.
* To work close with SKF factories and development centres to improve and optimise current non destructive testing methods.

Requirements

* Masters degree or equivalent university education in engineering physics, mechanical or material engineering.
* Documented experience/certificate on in non destructive evaluation methods specifically in Ultra-Sonic techniques or Eddy Current techniques
* Documented practical experience from NDT
* Experience in metallurgy and metallography is an advantage.
* A self-motivated, proactive team worker with good communication skills.
* Good ability to speak and write in English; a second or third foreign language is an advantage
* Willingness to travel and to work abroad on short assignments.
