Then you may be our new Procurement Buyer for Industrial Coating Sweden!
What you will do?
As Procurement Buyer you will be responsible for the procurement of raw materials for the Industrial Coatings business of AkzoNobel in Sweden, and belong to our global team of five. You will be the liaison point between material planning, the suppliers and sourcing teams to ensure stability of material supply to the Industrial Coatings sites. You will execute the sourcing strategy at local level and you’ll be the interface with local suppliers, planning, site quality and R&D departments. You will be the key procurement interface with local stakeholders and suppliers and the first escalation interface to handle local supplier issues. Your main responsibilities are:
• Implement the sourcing strategy on country/area level.
• Communicate the local requirements to regional or global sourcing teams and suppliers.
• Conducts commercial negotiations and manages relationships with suppliers managed by the regional procurement organization including all sourcing activities, supplier selection, contracting and pricing and terms.
• Drive proactively and support the price change management for material requirements in their geographical scope.
• Interact with local stakeholders at site: Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, RD&I, Local Commercial Organization.
• Acts as the first escalation interface to handle site related supplier issues and seeks to resolve the majority of the issues raised or decide to escalate immediately if local resolution is not possible.
• Identifies opportunities and contributes to and leads local projects, aiming to optimize MoQ, ordering volumes, lead times and payment terms.
You have great opportunities to contribute and influence your work, and there is much in-house to offer in AkzoNobel. This is a permanent position starting as soon as possible and you will be placed at our site just outside Malmö, Sweden. You will report directly to Procurement Manager UK&I and Europe.
Who you are?
As a person you are highly analytical, confident with excellent communication skills at all levels. Also you have great networking skills with different stakeholders across several functions. You thrive in an high pace international environment and have an easy time adapting to new situations that arise. You are in the right element when it comes to gatherz and analyzing information skillfully and provides solutions in complex situations. In addition, we believe that you enjoy taking the initiative and performing high quality in what you deliver.
To be successful in this position it is preferable that you have a Bachelor Degree. Master’s Degree will be an asset. Minimum 3 years of previous experience in Purchasing, Procurement, Planning or Supply chain related role with an international understanding. Previous experience in working in a manufacturing industry would be beneficial. In order for you to really thrive in this role, you need to feel confident working in different IT systems and feel comfortable working with both numbers and Excel. We are using SAP, MS Office and Teams, among others. Since you work in an international arena you must be fluent in English and Swedish, both written and spoken.
