Procurement Engineer for assignment in Stockholm

ValueOne are specialists in supply chain management, purchasing and logistics. We offer our customers services in three business areas; interim logistics and procurement consultants, recruitment of buyers and logisticians, as well as development of our customers’ supply chain operations in terms of strategies, models, methods, processes, structure and competence.

On behalf of our customer we are now searching for a Procurement Engineer for longer assignment at a company in central Stockholm.

The role

In the role as Procurement Engineer your main task will be to act as the bridge between the procurement department and R&D to ensure that new products and components are designed in an optimized way with regards to supplier base, quality, manufacturability and cost. As a Procurement Engineer at our client you will collaborate with the project teams and other stakeholders as well as with external parties in order to identify cost-out/down possibilities, solve design to cost challenges and contribute to finding new improved ways of working. Furthermore, you will keep detailed records of the Bill of Material-cost as well as vendors in order to help forecast product cost and report this back to project management.

Experience and competence

The right candidate for the assignment must have at least 5 years of experience from a similar position in an international environment at a manufacturing company. You need to have knowledge in product development, cost analysis and/or strategic procurement and a degree in Business Administration or Engineering.

As a person you have strong analytical, problem-solving skills as well as communication and networking capabilities. You are a fast learner, flexible, positive and driven. You must be fluent in both spoken and written English.
