We are now looking for a Procurement & Logistics Specialist to our team in Västerås. You will be part of a small local team with Buyers, P&L Specialists, Operation Schedulers and Inventory Managers and you will be reporting to Head of SCM Planning & Fulfillment. In addition, you will work together in a global team of colleagues within P&L in different improvement projects and initiatives. In this role you will have a lot of opportunities to develop both the business and you as a professional within Supply Chain Management.
Your responsibilities
Responsible to design and implement plans for sourcing to reach the business targets.
Plan, improve and follow up of supplier performance as well as qualify new suppliers and negotiate contracts.
Apply and implement ABB Procurement & Logistics standards, tools and processes in the area of responsibility to secure quality, delivery, cost and sustainability.
Support our Production and Production Engineering Team in the investment processes of new machinery equipment, in terms of supplier selection, negotiation contracts and service agreements.
Work together in a global team of colleagues within P&L in different improvement projects and initiatives.

Your background
To succeed in this role, you hold a university degree (Bachelor or Master) preferable within Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Economics with at least 2-5 years proven experience/skills in similar roles.
We are looking for personalities who are self-confident, driven, customer focused and with the attitude that everything is achievable in a team.
Good communication skills and problem-solving abilities are success enablers in this role.
Fluency in English and Swedish is mandatory, written and spoken alike.
Willingness to travel to suppliers mostly in Sweden and EU.
