Role and Responsibilities
As a Product Compliance Specialist - material and sustainability at Husqvarna, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with laws and standards, particularly in the realm of material compliance such as RoHS, REACH, and also emerging regulations such as new packaging regulation and eco-design requirements. Your primary focus will revolve around materials, allowing you to cultivate expertise in this swiftly advancing domain. You will have the unique opportunity to build a robust network both internally and externally, engaging with industry organizations and standard committees.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor global regulatory changes in material compliance for products and ensure stakeholders are informed about legislative shifts.
- Actively participate in compliance networks and standard committees, advocating for Husqvarna's point of view of sustainable practices.
- Represent Product Compliance in new product development, ensuring sustainability aspects are integrated from the outset.
- Engage in lobbying activities to influence proposed changes that align with sustainable material practices.
- Provide expert assistance and guidance on material compliance-related queries.
Qualifications:
To excel in this role, we seek individuals with the following qualifications:
- M.Sc. or B.S. degree in engineering or equivalent experience, preferably within chemical or material science.
- Competence and experience in material compliance.
- Proficiency in English.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in large organizations, preferably within product development or sourcing, with a keen ability to comprehend the "big picture."
- Familiarity with material compliance-related tools, software, data handling, and processes.
