Product Engineer

We are now looking for a “Product Engineer” in Gothenburg
Metso Outotec is a global supplier of equipment, technology and services to customers in the mining and construction industry. The Metals & Chemicals Processing BL provides processing solutions and equipment for metals refining. For our product portfolio of Sulphuric Acid process technologies, we seek to reinforce our Technology team with a Product Engineer, who will learn and grow along the experienced team and significantly contributes to the project success and technology development.
Main tasks & responsibilities:
· Execute process engineering
· Follow design principles & Guidelines
· Initiate request for design guideline update based on operational findings
· Support PCM for Product Group Portfolio
· Supervise and execute commissioning of sulfuric acid plants
· Prepared to be on site for longer commissioning periods
· Maintain contacts to customers
· Execute plant audits
· Evaluate sales opportunities with regard to technical feasibility
· Provide technical input for sales & proposals
· Represent company on conferences, industry events etc.
· Support service sales
· Protect generated IP together with patent specialists
· Identify potential improvements in respective technology focus areas
· Support quality with promoting usage of standardized documents and product lifecycle tools
· Familiarize with Product Group business strategy and implement nominated tasks
· Support market areas and other engineering disciplines on specific coordination topics


Desired education & background:
· Engineering degree (process engineering preferred)
· Working experience with simulation tools like HSC, Aspen etc
· Prepared for developing knowledge in commissioning and trouble shooting
· Willingness to travel
· English and German language skill + additional language knowledge is advantageous
