The Product Manager (PM) is the owner of Products throughout its lifecycle within his/her area of responsibility. The PM suggests and implements the strategic product roadmap in their area. Across all professional brands, through all sales channels, coordinating with and cooperating with, key business units. This role requires many cross functional interfaces. Key contacts are the end customers & sales organizations, application specific product managers cross divisions, R&D and Project Management.


Products in scope:
This Product Manager role includes global platform and product roadmap responsibility for Hedge trimmer and potentially another battery product, as well as the responsibility to be driver in 1-2 strategic initiatives across product range.


Essential Duties and key tasks:
. Strategy: Translate business strategy into product strategy, product roadmaps +5 years and product generation plan.
. Business: Explore new business opportunities. Responsible for product portfolio, positioning & lifecycle management optimized on profitability and group directives.
. Financials: Managing International Recommended Price ensuring range logic, business case calculations and Product Investment, i.e. sponsor for R&D projects. Set target cost and monitor gross margin development. Manage Investment Requests (IR) within portfolio
. Product: Owns Platforms and Products in scope and acts as their Champion in the org.
. Projects: Initiate new projects with Project proposal (PP)
. Product specification: Together with Product specialist give input to and sign off market and user specification for all channels
. Portfolio management: Implement phase-in/phase out plans and suggest tail cutting
. Industry & customer Intelligence: Monitor and analyse market trends, competition, authorities (regulatory), technology steps and adopt product plans as needed. Initiate consumer research as needed. Regular visits to end users and dealers globally
. Product launch: Ensure timing of product launch and coordinate Go To Market strategy at time of new product launch


Experience profile:
. Min 3-5 years' work, experience from the outdoor power equipment sector or other battery products is an advantage
. Experience from Product Management is a benefit
. University studies, engineering and/or economics/marketing
. English, both written and oral. German an advantage
. Good knowledge in the Microsoft office package (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)


Skills and Capabilities:
. Knowledge of financials and with a business mindset.
. Good analytical skills, can compile unstructured information into conclusions and recommendations for decision
. Customer focused, both internal and external customers
. Enjoys working in small team
