What’s in it for you?
We are looking for a passionate Product Owner that can coach and challenge our product team in delivering an outstanding Enterprise Data Warehouse for Volvo Cars. You will join the Core Services & Development product cluster within Data Platforms at Volvo Cars. This product cluster delivers end-to-end solutions for the management of Volvo Cars data. We are enabling capabilities like Enterprise Data Warehouse, MDM, Data Lake, and Data Visualization with tools like Snowflake, Power BI, and xDM to provide a best-in-class data platform. Of course, we have fun together while doing it.

What you’ll do
You will be coaching the team and people in all aspects of agile ways of working and mindsets. You and your team will enable Volvo Cars Enterprise Data Warehouse for multiple teams with a framework, including things like architecture, conformed dimensions and best practices, etc. This will be done with close collaboration with your team members (architects, developers, and Scrum Master), but also other teams within the cluster. You will be working with stakeholders across the whole company, enabling them to make use of their data for analytical use-cases. Data producers, and consumers. Creating a state-of-the-art Enterprise Data Warehouse where all data is interoperable and with a consistent architecture.

Your main areas of responsibility are:
• Steer the development of our Enterprise Data Warehouse, the technical platform but also data architecture, best practices, and enabling conformed dimensions for various teams.
• Own the product backlog, plan, and lead refinement sessions as the product expert.
• Responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of the Enterprise Data Warehouse.
• Maintain a network of stakeholders and partners to develop and maintain a keen understanding of their support and requirements.
• Identify relevant use cases of stakeholders and prioritize according to our roadmap and company vision.
• Prepare solid specifications for new features to be developed by our Data Engineering team
• Communicate with business stakeholders on questions regarding the Enterprise Data Warehouse.
• Identify opportunities for business improvement based on our current setup
• Unblocking the team and removing impediments

Who you are:
We are looking for you who love data and have solid experience in Data Warehousing, Data product development, Data Governance, MDM, and BI preferably as a Product Owner or Product Manager.  You have experience within Data Management in general (Data Management Framework). You possess s very good understanding of database concepts (both relational and dimensional) and Experience working in an Agile environment (SAFe).  In addition, you have a complete understanding of the product owner role and what is expected of you when working with development teams, you are used to working will multiple stakeholders and have the capability to facilitate workshops and perform activity & story mapping exercises. 

As a person, you are solution and delivery oriented with a strong drive and problem-resolution approach. You are a servant leader, culture and people driven, with a team before me mindset and good presentation skills.  We believe you have the ability to create an environment that fosters high-performing teams. You should have the ability to drive and create commitment. It is important that you have integrity and a change management mindset.  You can communicate with both developers and businesses in a convincing way, furthermore, you are easy to collaborate with different types of people and want to work cross-functionally.  It’s natural for you to lead others with the ability to earn trust while still challenging the team to improve and operate outside its comfort zone

The position is located in Gothenburg, and the major part of the workweek is needed in the office.
