Product Strategy Director

As a Product Strategy Director you will be responsible for the Product portfolio regarding which top-hats we should have on offer from LYNK & CO and by that developing and maintaining the commercial cycle plan request. You will also be responsible for the Car Line Management function in detailing how those products should be defined and maintained over the lifecycle. This includes making strategic investigations regarding brand and business needs of future products as well as monitoring the customer and market development. In your work you will have a lot of interaction with our in-market organizations as well as internal functions in developing the strategic product business cases for the company.

A keen sense of business and how to manage a complex offer structure in a highly competitive consumer market is vital. Strong analytical skills and financial understanding is taken for granted in this position. The ability to intellectually move quickly between discussions on numbers, customers, products and business will be valuable. And mostly, that you enjoy being part of a great team and that you like responsibility and quick decisions.

The position is based in Gothenburg, with a global responsibility. Some travel will be required.

Responsibilities and tasks

- Manage the team with two functions: Product Strategy and Car Line Management
- You will be the “customer” of the cycle plan developed within the Geely Auto group and in that capacity you will be responsible for developing the requests and definition of what the products should be.
- Develop product requests and definitions for the cycle plan based on customer, brand, business and market strategies.
- Consolidate and manage strategic product requirements globally coordinating Europe, US and China needs.
- Own and drive product marketing related cycle plan topics cross functional and both towards R&D and the commercial organizations.
- Secure requests for new products as well as the continued competitiveness of the current product-lines over the lifecycle.

Requirements

- B.Sc. Marketing or similar experience
- Strong leadership experience from project or line management.
- Experience from product strategy or portfolio management of complex consumer products and service offers
- Ability to transform customer and market needs and wants into product requests and requirements
- Very strong excel and business analytical skills, financial focus, customer value understanding
- Strong business acumen
