Production Engineer

Objectives :
Increase and secure the productivity level in production and optimize operations within the plant in order to reach goals for the business.

Key operational responsibilities :
To secure high productivity level by Increasing automation in the factory through investments in new technology - Driving pre-maintenance of the production equipment and secure spare parts availability - Ensuring high machine utilization - Initiate and manage new projects, including investment requests, follow ups etc . Responsible for providing a technical resource to assist work teams on daily operations . Responsible for understanding all applicable process technology, equipment and control technology . To optimize operations and meet business and plant goals, including production, cost, and quality by Participating in fixing daily issue and coaching others to learn these skills - Implement best practices in operations in order to optimize operations - Communicate technical information and issues to plant personnel . To network with other technical staff on site and within the global business to leverage knowledge on plant operations, including Production and Improvement. . To test new production materials, develop the test methods for new materials and secure technical reports. To secure that safety, environment and work environment rules are followed and developed. To participate in the EMS project. To handle purchasing of services in the technical area. To secure that we have the right production technologies.
Additional responsibilities outside of standard job responsibilities: Documentation of the factory's constructions . Other tasks related to production and products

Reporting to:
Factory Manager

Competencies needed :
Education: Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical engineering or Chemical Engineering
1 year experience in a manufacturing environment. Alternate requirement: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical engineering or Chemical Engineering
Technical Skills : Documented experience in automation. Knowledge of mechanical and automation equipment. Experience from non-woven materials and ultrasonic welding is qualifying but not necessary for the job. Extensive IT knowledge Vast knowledge/understanding of PLC's and PLC programming. Good knowledge in CAD-programs . Experience with project execution targeting cost savings and productivity increases.
Soft Competencies : Strategic and analytical thinking . Team player . Drive for result and a large focus on obtaining goals . Passion for innovations . Great communication skills . Experience from manufacturing lean programs like EMS is viewed as a merit . Fluency in English (German is a plus)

The factory supplies Originals, Adaptables and OEM products in paper and synthetic media. The Factory is highly automated and aims to automate even further.
