Production Engineer
As a Production Engineer you will take ownership of the manufacturing lines for both New Product Introductions (NPI) as well as support, improvements, modifications and further deployment for sustaining production.

In this position you will participate in product development teams that specify, build, test and challenge product designs to improve efficacy, reliability, serviceability, manufacturability and cost.

Your work tasks will more in detail include:

• Design, document, assemble, qualify and introduces production assembly/test/inspection fixtures and equipment.
• Taking ownership of production lines, resolving manufacturability issues, and driving improvements for cost and efficiency.
• Performs validation/qualification activities for new equipment and processes.
• Provide product and process DFM (Design for Manufacturing) input to Product Development Engineering to enhance manufacturability and product cost.
• Designs and creates production equipment, fixtures and tests as needed to build the production line either internally or as needed at suppliers.
• Leads/participates in continuous improvement initiatives focused on material cost reduction, capacity enhancement, and streamlining work flow.
• Supports, maintains, improves modifies and further develops the manufacturing line as needed for sustaining production.
Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical or Mechatronic Engineering or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3-5 years’ experience as design or manufacturing engineer.
• Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical assembly, testing, and inspection processes and Lean principles.
• Medical Device, cGMP and ISO-13485 experience required.
• Strong problem solving ability, including demonstrated ability to effectively design, execute, report on, and draw conclusions from experiments.
• Comfortable interacting with technicians, engineers, and management on a regular basis.
• Strong technical skills in prototyping, tooling development and troubleshooting.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
Preferred Requirements:

• CAD skillset with vision for electro-mechanical fixtures design and implementation.
• Oral and written communication skills in Swedish
To be successful in your role you need to be self-motivated and an excellent technical problem solver. You are a good collaborator and have excellent communication skills in English and preferably Swedish. You possess strong communication skills to interface with technicians, product development, planning, purchasing, regulatory, inspection, clinical marketing organizations, and suppliers. The position also requires interacting with contract manufacturers for outsourced projects.
