We are now seeking candidates for a unique career opportunity as a Production Trainee within our Product Areas of Tube, Strip, Wire and Heating Technology, Process Systems and MedTech.Key performance areas The SMT Rotation Program is a one-year program that provides a good insight into the Product Area?s business operations.During the program you will develop your competence and gain valuable experience by working with demanding projects in different locations around the world.The main purpose of the program is to develop future management talents for Sandvik and SMT as well as to offer an interesting and challenging position for high potential graduates.The SMT Rotation Program consists of different elements, from job rotation placements to classroom training. The program starts at our head quarters in Sandviken, Sweden with a 12 week period of general training, where you will learn about SMT, your specific Product Area, our products and our way of working.The main focus in these class trainings will be on material science, product knowledge, selling skills, leadership and procurement.The main part of the program consists of job rotation modules.Working with a partner, each participant undertakes four modules that last for two months each.To ensure that trainees have the best possible understanding of our operations, each module takes place in different product units globally.Each job rotation module consists of both hands-on work alongside the local staff, as well as a special project.During these job rotation modules you will create a network with key people within our global organization as well as establish relationships with local customers and suppliers. When you've completed the training program, you'll be positioned for a career with SMT in an area of production that you have learned about, depending on your skills and needs, and SMT?s openings. Your profile We are looking for candidates who have recently graduated from university or have a few years of working experience.You hold a Bachelor of Science in engineering or have other relevant education.You are highly motivated, eager to learn and develop yourself and have leadership potential/interest.
