For our substrates factory in Älmhult we are looking for a fulltime:
Production leader
In Sweden Jiffy is active in both production of substrates and peat harvesting activities at different locations in the Småland area. Our substrates factory (Jiffy Products Sweden AB) is located in Älmhult, where a small team of 2 to 4 workers is responsible for the daily production of custom made substrates for professional growers. Most raw materials used in our substrates are harvested from our own peat bogs in the surrounded area.

Job profile:
The Production Leader will be responsible for all production activities taking place at the factory in Älmhult and reports directly to the Operational Manager (Substrates and Peat Harvesting). The Production Leader will act as contact person for our international organization (production workers, account managers, Commercial Back Office, planning, forwarding, transport, etc.).
The production of substrates is strongly influenced by its demand. During the peak season (February till June) we expect our new Production Leader to be flexible towards working hours. In high season it will be most likely that some overtime is required (occasionally also a few hours on Saturdays) to supply our customers in time. Considering this small team it will be clear that we expect our Production Leader to be hands-on and participating in all regular production activities.

Tasks:
-Participate in the daily production of substrates:
oTransporting of peat/substrates by wheelloader and/or forklift
oLoading and unloading of trucks by forklift
oOperating, controlling and cleaning of machines / equipment
oKeeping working environment clean and organized
o1st line technical support / maintenance on machines and equipment
oSample taking for quality control;
- The coordination of the Substrates operations; planning, product quality, maintenance and internal logistics;
- The efficient organization of the production and transport planning process with optimal use of the available means (associates, equipment and raw materials);
- Efficient stock control needs to be in place, in such a way that a there is a responsible level of stock versus costs in relation to the internal supply needs;
- Coaching, motivating, controlling and yearly evaluating of the Substrates employees (in close cooperation with the Operational Manager);
- Is responsible for the control and hour administration and control of the temporary workers.


Your profile:
- A minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience in a midlevel management position (as supervisor or team leader) in a production environment;
- Experienced in production planning and logistics; preferably some technical/ engineering experience.
- Fluent in Swedish and English (spoken and written).
- Licensed to drive a forklift and/or wheelloader or willing to obtain these licenses.
- Experienced in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ERP packages (preferably Microsoft Dynamics AX);
-Preferably living in the Älmhult area
