The Stockholm School of Economics invites outstanding applicants for two Chairs within the Department of Accounting to lead world-class research and undertake innovative education in financial management.

The Department of Accounting at SSE now seeks to appoint two professors in the area of financial accounting to the Chair in Business Administration especially Financial Accounting and the Jan Wallander Chair in Business Administration especially Accounting and Financial Management.
The professors will complement and further develop research and teaching within the Department, especially supporting a vibrant research environment and providing support to junior faculty members. The Department of Accounting conducts broad research relevant to businesses ranging from capital market reactions to pure managerial issues, adopting both positive and normative approaches. The new professors will lead world-leading research with high impact and publish in top-ranked publications. They will positively contribute to teaching at all levels within the Department and become constructive and collegial members of the Department.

The requirements for the position include both research and teaching skills in the area. Qualified candidates will have proven international scientific standing, which includes publishing in good and/or excellent peer-reviewed journals. In order to qualify for a position as Full Professor at SSE, the candidate should have made a proven and significant impact in her/his field of research.
