WHO ARE WE?


Our team is responsible of Thermal management system with components such as HVAC, Compressor, Cooling Module etc. including new upcoming components to support new electrification driveline technologies We are the main interface towards the supplier base of said components and our mission is to improve the value chain on costs, quality, delivery performance, sustainability, resilience in the supply chain and to secure a position in the forefront of technology for all parts used on our trucks.


We belong to the Electronics, Electromechanics and Autonomous Solutions department within Group Trucks Purchasing and are located in Lyon (France) and Göteborg (Sweden).

WHAT IS THE JOB?


As a Buyer, you will be accountable for purchasing activities in Climate segment scope. You will be responsible to drive purchasing projects/operations in EMEA and ensure that the activities are in line with segment business plan through the selection of the right suppliers. Continuously securing the suppliers QDCF-TSR performance by using tools and the purchasing/cross functional network during production and after production for Revenue segments.
You will be reporting to the Head of Thermal Management System and actively contribute to the development of the department.


QDCF-TSR: Quality, Delivery, Cost, Feature, Technology, Sustainability and Risk Management


Main tasks of your role:
Strategic purchasing in Climate system scope for EMEA also other administration
Work very closely with all brands within Volvo Group for production and service market business
Be part of strategic and operational activities
Be part of the team and contribute to developing a business plan (strategy) and action plan
Performance end-to-end purchasing activities- Sourcing to pay - eg; Sourcing, negotiations, contracts, business model, review meetings etc..
Speak up, influence and drive the transformation to create positive change and support our learning culture. In other words, you will strengthen Volvo Group’s competitive advantage and support our important journey by understanding and leading your business’s commercial needs.
Securing the performance in accordance with the purchasing focus areas
Identify and drive synergies with other Business Areas when relevant and share best practices within the Volvo Group
Analyzing and proposing new ways of buying and securing Volvo Group wanted position
Work closely with group technology, production, and different purchasing functions within the group
Monitor, identify, and mitigate risks in cooperation with the Supplier Quality & Development
Forecast cost evolution for the scope of responsibility
Perform daily operational purchasing activities
The position is in- Sweden, Göteborg

Qualifications:
University degree (Master), preferably in engineering or business
