Project Engineer

Northvolt has an exciting job offer for a Project engineer to join our bold Northvolt Ett Program team in Stockholm.
The Northvolt Ett program team is responsible for delivering Northvolt Ett, the large-scale battery factory being built in Northern Sweden. Assist the downstream program team to ensure conformity with schedule and cost requirements. Responsibilities cover the coordination and follow-up of activities across technical functions such as civil, mechanical, electrical, automation, clean & dry rooms and process design as well as coordination with the construction team on site.
Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
· Manage and coordinate activities across the downstream program to ensure schedule conformity.
· Take ownership of and drive interfaces between the technical functions within the downstream program.
· Follow-up on change and seek weekly updates on change management activities across technical functions.
· Work closely with the Downstream Programme & Project Managers to ensure general program activities are followed-up on and closed out.
· Coordinate activities with the procurement team.

Qualifications/education/experience
· A relevant university degree (B.Sc. / M.Sc. or similar). Engineering degree preferred but not required.
· Well rounded project experience in industrial plant construction (design, construction and
commissioning phases).
· Industrial background – Advanced Manufacturing, Chemical Processing, Oil & Gas, Mining, Mineral Processing or similar.
· Previous experience as Project Engineer or Project Coordinator on multidiscipline projects.
· Preferably 5+ years of relevant experience. · Technical background.

· Valuable but not required if fluency in other languages (Japanese, Swedish, Chinese, French)

About Northvolt
Northvolt was founded in 2016 with the mission to build the world’s greenest battery cell, with a minimal carbon footprint and the highest ambitions for recycling, to enable the European transition to renewable energy. Northvolt’s team of experts is building the next generation battery cell factory focused on process innovation, scale and vertical integration. Once completed, it will be Europe’s largest battery cell factory and produce 32 GWh worth of capacity annually.
