Job assignments
- Initiating then managing research projects
- Managing and driving forward a large scale research definition process
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders
- Helping to manage research project groups
- Reporting to K2 board, as well as to other colleagues on its management team
- Helping to build the centre
- Informal supervision of PhD students
Qualifications
Formal qualifications needed Master's degree, preferably in a discipline such as Transport Planning, Spatial Planning, Applied Economics, Human Geography or Real Estate; or experience and qualifications that in sum are equivalent to a Master's degree.
Skills and experience needed
Essential:
- Able to lead and run research or similar projects; experience of having done so - Able to initiate and secure financing for projects; experience of having done so
- Able to represent K2 and university in contacts with external stakeholders
- Knowledge and understanding of public transport industry in Sweden, and its challenges
- Excellent communication skills, including ability to carry out training sessions for people working in industry
- Excellent written and spoken English
Desirable:
- Extensive contact network in public transport in Sweden
- Experience of developing programmes of research projects
- Experience of multi-disciplinary working
- PhD in a relevant subject
