Project Manager

The Project Manager will support both Teradata pre- and post-sales efforts to implement Teradata Data Warehouses and Analytical Applications like CRM, Supply Chain Management, and Demand Chain Management for leading clients in the Financial, Retail, Communications, and Manufacturing industries.
The Project Manager is assigned to a project during the concept phase and will remain on a project through the end of the closeout. Typical team size for a project is 4 to 15 consultants.

Key Areas of Responsibility

? Managing offer development, generating the Statement of Work (scope, deliverables, budgets, and boundaries), supporting contract negotiations, and supporting the pre-contract management reviews
? Planning, implementing and controlling complex data warehouse solution projects, using Teradata's advocated methodologies (Teradata Solutions Methodology; Teradata Project Management)
? Support and motivate the project team throughout the project
? Manage work performed by subcontractors (internal and external organizations)
? Managing customer expectations and assuring project quality
? Assuming responsibility for the project budget and for achieving the defined project objectives
? Managing change requests, including their development, negotiation and implementation within the project scope
? Supporting the sales team in opportunity identification, customer presentations and customer relationship building

Education / Experience Requirements
The candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in IT industry related project management and be able to demonstrate the following experience and skill sets:
? Proven experience in the management of Data Warehouse, BI, software development or system integration projects
? Experience in managing complex projects with contractual and budgetary responsibility
? Project Management ?toolbox? experience with strong skills, methodologies, methods, and advanced usage of tools
? Good analyzing and consulting skills. Candidates with a Consulting background will be preferred.

? Have the necessary computer skills to publish professionally laid out documents and utilize existing project management and communication tools.

? Bachelor or Master degree, preferably in Information Technology or Computer Science
