Project Manager

Northvolt has an exciting job offer for a Project Manager to join our growing team in Västerås and our Li-ion Prototype Lab.

In joining us you will play an important part from the very start in building one of the first large scale European battery factories. Northvolt will play an important role in the transformation to a carbon free society.

The Project Manager will lead the project of establishing prototyping capability in Väterås. As leader of the project you will have the opportunity to build a prototype line and facility in a short space of time, capable to scale Northvolt’s products in Västerås.

You will be in charge of setting up and executing the project plan, contributing with knowledge and expertise in pilot scale lithium ion battery manufacturing.

The project will primarily support the Validation and Quality Control teams to build the right technical capabilities.

You will be working intimately with all teams across Northvolt. Our aim is to have the prototype line operational beginning of April.

In general you have a long experience in prototype production, li-ion cell production in particular and project management in general and have been driving large, innovative and challenging projects with high demands for on time delivery.

Specifically, you have a deep understanding of working with lithium ion cell prototyping and project management.

Northvolt has the International Office in Stockholm. This particular role will be working from our R&D facility, Northvolt Labs, in Västerås as from 2019.

Education/Experience

Relevant University Degree; sustainability/energy/business/project management
Track record of successul project achievements
Successful track record of delivering milestones with very challenging timelines
Curious, technically educated and with a strong business background
Must have worked in multi-cultural environment
Experience and interest in manufacturing industry is a plus
Specific Skills/Abilities

Excellent English written and oral skills, Swedish is a plus
Highly organized and result-driven
An eye for detail
Proactive and goes beyond expectations
Exceptionally good negotiation and problem-solving skills
Has a can do attitude and an entrepreneurial spirit
Ability to work under high pressure and tight deadlines, excellent time management
Specific knowledge of pilot scale Lithium ion cell manufacturing
