Project Manager Air Traffic Management

Project Manager to our projects within world-class air traffic control products!



Your role

Saab ATM is expanding and looking for an additional project manager to join our project management team in Gothenburg. The right candidate will be given the opportunity to work with interesting and challenging tasks as well as collaborate with experienced colleagues in an environment that fosters career development and personal growth.

Depending on your previous experience, you will be partly or fully responsible for the delivery of Air Traffic Management systems to our customers in one or more of our customer projects. The projects can include everything from system and product deliveries to research projects and vary in size, both in economic terms and in the number of people involved.



Your assignment will be to follow projects through their entire life cycle, from planning and start-up through the development phase, to completion with implementation of the system at the customer site. You ensure that the final delivery meets customer requirements as well as completion according to project schedule within the given budget.

This is a multifaceted position that requires collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders such as system developers, systems engineers as well as customers and end users. As the team delivers systems to airports all around the world, some international business trips will be required.

Your profile

You have a minimum of 3 to 4 years' experience in a similar role and have a great interest in technical and complex systems, preferably within Air Traffic Management. In addition you hold at least a bachelor degree in a relevant field. It is advantageous if you have experience in international relations, negotiation techniques and knowledge/interest in Air Traffic Management. Furthermore, you have the ability to work both independently and in teams. The role requires you to make quick decisions based on your own impact assessments.

You have the drive, the initiative and the commitment - to motivate and lead people is completely natural for you today. You have a positive attitude and work in a professional and structured way. The role involves broad contact areas, which is why it is important that you are skilled at communicating in a clear but humble manner with the ability to adapt to the recipient. Fluent language skills in both English and Swedish in speech and writing are required.

You will work in one or more customer projects towards set deadlines, which requires great planning skills and the ability to prioritize your work efficiently. Even the best of plans will however sometimes fail and it is therefore important that you are able to quickly adapt to changing conditions and situations.
