FPC is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join us in developing future fingerprint systems for mobile phones and other portable devices. FPC is a leader in the development of capacitive fingerprint sensors and designs the whole system, from advanced custom silicon devices and microelectronic packaging, to algorithms and software for fingerprint recognition and applications on the target devices.

 

The Role

The position as a Project Manager entails to drive and co-ordinate technical advanced projects and activities. The position is within the field of ASIC Development which is one of FPCs four groups in research and development. You will have the opportunity to plan and manage projects within a team of dedicated and ambitious engineers who is experts in their fields. The main objective with this position is to drive activities, by planning and follow up, related to the field of ASIC Design within product development projects at FPC. The overall focus for such projects is to provide the project members with enough guidance to ensure that they are able to accomplish their goals. The role will enable you to influence not only how projects are executed but also to contribute to technology development. You will also be representing the projects against suppliers and subcontractors in an international environment.

The work can be or is located in Gothenburg or Linköping and you will report to our Director ASIC Development & Sr Sensor architect.

International travel to FPC suppliers, partners and customers may be required. The work includes a high tempo and you are usually working in several projects at the same time.

 

Your Background

This role requires a technical education, such as Master in Electronics, Physics, Computer science or the equivalent, as well as several years of occupational experience in ASIC design.

You need to be fluent in spoken and written English and not opposed to travelling abroad.

Success in this role requires:

• Knowledge of analog and digital electrical systems, and preferably experience from ASIC design.
• Familiar with all steps involved in ASIC development from system design to qualified product.
• You should also have two (2) years of work experience managing mixed-signal ASIC projects.


You also have essential qualities such as being ambitious, motivated and flexible. You need to be comfortable working in a growing company, where you will be expected to assume considerable personal responsibility for your own activities and the company’s success. This also requires you to be a team player who contributes to an open and positive atmosphere in the workplace. You are enthusiastic and driven, with a commitment to see your ideas through to successful implementation as a part of a collaborative cross-functional team. You have good communication skills and are used to work with colleagues that is located elsewhere.
