Sandvik Mining is a leading global supplier of equipment and tools, service and technical solutions for the mining industry. The offering covers rock drilling, rock cutting, rock crushing, loading and hauling and materials handling.

We are looking for a Project Manager for Facility Development Investments' Pre Studies on a global basis, and we can offer an interesting and qualified role in the mining area. The preferable location for this position is Stockholm or Amsterdam.

Key performance areas
As Project Manager within this area you will manage Pre-Studies of Facility Development Projects globally, in accordance with Sandvik and Sandvik Mining standards and guidelines with a strong focus on Environment Health and Safety. The pre-study work includes assessment of the facility needs, based on the existing business needs and potential future growth; selection and management of the local consultants in the process of making a preliminary design and cost estimate; selection of suitable land or existing facilities; support for the sales area in creating a business case; and handing over of the project to the execution team after approval by the Sandvik Board. You will be reporting to our Global Facility Development Manager within the Sandvik Mining Project Office. As part of the Project Office you will also assist with the development and maintenance of Facility Development standards and project models.

This position involves extensive traveling.

Your profile
You hold a relevant degree in Civil Engineering, or have equivalent knowledge acquired in another manner, and have at least ten years´ international experience as Project Manager for Facility Development projects within the industrial sector. You also have good computer skills, including use of the MS Office suite, and the ability to summarize and present information to Senior Management. You are also experienced in developing budgets and high level plans for Facility projects. This role will also require certain experience in construction law and a good understanding of the permit and land acquisition process internationally. A certificate in Project Management (PMI/IPMA/Prince2 or similar) is an advantage. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are required for this position.
