The group Test Facility Development is part of Maintenance, Investments & Metrology within R&D. Our most important mission is to develop and procure testing equipment and facilities for the different departments within R&D. We provide advanced engineering from an initial pilot study to fully operational facilities including documentation and training. Most of our work is performed in projects in close collaboration with in-house customers, the purchasing department, consultants and external entrepreneurs.
As Project Manager - Plant Engineering you will be leading a team within projects related to new construction or maintenance. You will have a high level of freedom to develop your own skill-set and interact with many different stakeholders on a daily basis. Today the group consists of 18 persons on full time basis and around 30 consultants. We offer project management and technical support in the fields of plant engineering, mechanical engineering and machine design, data acquisition and computer systems, electrical and control system and environmental control.
Main responsibilities

* Responsible for defining and leading assignments which aim to deliver solutions for laboratories, workshops and plants within R&D at Volvo Car Group
* Project management and planning for design, construction and/or refurbishment of buildings, installation of process system supply and handling of fire protection issues in projects
* You will take part in the investment projects and be responsible for the plant engineering

Required qualifications

* M.Sc. Civil Engineering or similar education
* At least 5 years of documented experience from construction and facility work, such as building law legislation, construction and installation engineering, consulting and construction laws, procurement and market knowledge
* Used to working and leading projects
* Appropriate background is construction, electrical or HVAC engineer. Experience from project management with overall responsibility is highly meritorious
* Training for the BAS-U and BAS-P is an advantage
* Fluent in Swedish and good knowledge in English
