Purchase and Demand Planner - Operations


JOB DESCRIPTION The position as Purchase and Demand Planner will include both purchasing and demand planning responsibilities.Within purchasing you will be responsible of setting up the process and parameters for our new spare part inventory as well as managing the inventory.A considerable portion of the work will be performed through our ERP-system.Depending on the future scope of the spare part inventory, this position will also comprise other tactical purchasing tasks.Within demand planning you will work together with the Demand Manager in order to retrieve and present forecast data.Forecasting requires close contact with many different departments within Axis; hence this position will provide an excellent opportunity to develop a broad understanding of the Axis business.Duties in short: Set up the process and parameters for Axis new spare part inventory Manage the spare part inventory, i.e.keep the inventory control parameters updated and place orders in accordance with them Create an Axis corporate forecast on a regular basis Development of the forecasting process and forecasting tools Follow-up of forecasting accuracy, and resulting actions to improve the accuracy You will report to the Tactical Purchasing Manager of Operations.YOUR QUALIFICATIONS You have a bachelor's (or similar) in business or technology or similar work experience.You have a strong personal drive, can work independently at the same time as you have the ability to maintain good contacts with several parties simultaneously.You are also very structured and have a strong interest in data analysis.WHAT CAN AXIS DO FOR YOU?We can offer you a position where you can really make a difference if you exert yourself.You will have the chance to form an area within Axis, which is fairly unexploited, the spare part inventory management.The position also gives you the chance to develop and improve the most important planning data for the entire Operations organization, the forecast.You'll work with cutting edge products in an open minded and creative organization already the global market leader in its field - network video.THE OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT Operations consist of all the functions involved in the supply and distribution flow of Axis products.This comprises Purchasing, Production, Logistics, Customer Order, Demand Management, Quality and Facilities functions.We make sure that our customers get the products they have ordered, that they get strong customer service on their order status, and that the capital tied up in inventory is managed in a structured way.READY TO ACT?Axis is a company realizing the benefits of a diverse workforce.We know that diversity in groups creates a better working environment and promotes creativity, something that is fundamental for our success.
