Purchasing Launch Manager

The Purchasing Launch Manager will represent Purchasing in the New Model Launch team that normally starts when our car programs reach the first test series build. 
Work is of a challenging nature involving a considerable amount of perception, initiative and a high level of independent judgment. In this role you will report to the Vice President for Program Purchasing & Liaison Office located in Sweden, CEVT. It is a complex and challenging department with cross functional interfaces in a global organisation.

Responsibilities and tasks
• Work and collaborate with the key stakeholders to achieve timely sourcing.
• Proactively secure material in front of and during the test car builds to support a flawless launch in the plant, and to follow up all purchasing related actions that may come up.
• Coordinate, follow up, and drive to solution all Purchasing / material related issues that comes up before and during test car builds.
• Participate in various launch meetings and activities.
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders and supplier.
• Continuously report back to purchasing line organization regarding launch/build status, purchasing actions, supplier status, potential risks that may need support from purchasing line organization.
• Participate in cross functional teams.
• Work toward individual target
 
Profile and Background
• Experience of working with Purchasing within the automotive industry
• University degree in business, engineering or equivalent work experience
• Result oriented with ability to independently drive and complete tasks, ability to manage multi tasks.
• Team player with strong interpersonal skills and sense of business 
• Strong work ethics and high integrity
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Swedish and English
• Cultural awareness, especially Asian – European culture Analytical Skills
• Good overall administration skills are needed including good knowledge in excel and power point
• High level of analytical ability where problems are unusual and difficult
• High level of self-initiative and ability to work with minimal Supervision
• International experience will be an advantage
