Purchasing Program Manager

Program Manager is responsible to ensure that the Purchasing Milestone deliverables for the respective area (Body & Trim, Electrical, Chassis, Powertrain) are met and that the requirements are effectively communicated to and executed by the Purchasing Line Organizations.
Work is of a challenging nature involving a considerable amount of perception, initiative and a high level of independent judgment.
In this role you will report to the Vice President for Program Purchasing & Liaison Office located in Sweden, CEVT.


Responsibilities and tasks

• Ensure that the Purchasing Milestone deliverables according to our Product Development System are met and report these in the related project forums
• Ensure that all prerequisites for Purchasing are available on time and that the Purchasing activities are reflected in the overall project time plan.
• Proactively drive, steer and report purchasing project activities to the line organizations for Program related issues.
• Communicate Program information, such as program timing, program volume / capacity prerequisites and supplier performance to the Line Organizations.
• Steer and follow-up the Line Organizations to reach Quality, Cost and Delivery targets in respective projects.
• Support Purchasing Line organizations in Activities/Program Routines/Processes
• Builds, motivates & guides cross-functional Purchasing CEVT/Geely/Volvo
• Maintain cross-company purchasing team focus on project priorities
• Assure that the Security and Confidentiality aspects of the project and other Intangible Rights are safeguarded

Profile and Background
• Purchasing experience from the automotive industry
• University degree in business, engineering or equivalent work experience
• Result oriented with ability to independently drive and complete tasks, ability to manage multi tasks.
• Team player with strong interpersonal skills and sense of business
• Experience of Change management in global company setup
• Experience of project management/leadership and controlling
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Swedish and English
• Cultural awareness, especially Asian – European culture Analytical Skills
• Good overall administration skills are needed including good knowledge in excel and power point
• High level of self-initiative and ability to work with minimal Supervision and problem solving
• International experience will be an advantage
