ROLE DESCRIPTION 


As a team member, your main task is to be a spokesperson for purchasing in assigned Product development projects, Tender projects, and/or Product maintenance projects. You will be a part of a team of purchasing managers, who reports to the Purchasing Director Projects and Platform Europe within Volvo Bus Purchasing. It is a developing role where you connect as an ambassador for Project Way of working with Line Functions and also share your knowledge on value due to process adherence. By obtaining the purchasing requirements, you can contribute to the organization's overall project deliveries. You will be the purchasing representative in the project team and the project representative within the purchasing community. To coordinate the project follow-up for non-assigned Purchasing PM and make KPI/PI follow-up and regular update on PPM team place is also involved in your workday. The target and resulted approach with a good interpersonal and project mindset will make it easy for you to achieve your goals.

To succeed in this role, we think you have


We think that you have a University degree in Engineering or Business/Economics, MSc/MBA or equal. You have preferably relevant experience of industry, and five of them with purchasing or commercial experience. Your experience enables you to support and direct the purchasing project's activities through your leadership and communication towards stakeholders in purchasing and other functions. You can also highlight purchasing demands or other functions in the project plan, to safeguard the project deliverables. Your English is fluent, both written and spoken. It is considered an advantage if you have experience from automotive purchasing and global development process.
