HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) is a business unit within ABB’s Power Grids division located in Ludvika. The unit develops, manufactures and sells DC transmission systems on a global market. This ABB developed HVDC technology is used to transmit electricity over long distances and for power transmission via submarine cables. HVDC is also used to connect power systems.
You will lead an engineering team at HVDC in Ludvika with the responsibility for Cooling System design, testing and commissioning. The tasks of the team include translating customer requirements to equipment specifications and optimizing the design together with our suppliers.
Your responsibilities
Managing a team of project engineers and technical specialists within an area of Cooling System at HVDC Converter Valves.
Lead, resource and support your team to successfully deliver commitments during tender & project execution including system design, customer interactions, equipment acceptance testing and commissioning at site.

Your background
To be successful in this role you have leadership experience and hold a Master of Science in Engineering or equivalent.
You thrive in a dynamic environment with both technical and executional challenges.
You take ownership for your team deliveries and have a natural willingness to drive improvements together with your colleagues.
Fluency in English is mandatory and fluency in Swedish is beneficial.
