THE POSITION


As a QA Specialist in the Viaplay Streaming Team, you will join our small but experienced team to continue shaping and developing the leading streaming service in the Nordics. In close collaboration with your colleagues, you will be responsible for the quality of the teams deliveries and continuously work on enhancing our QA process to ensure fast and high-quality streaming on all Viaplay devices. You will be the one closing the loop by defining scenarios for testability prior to development and ensuring that quality is maintained as new features are developed and released. 

THE CHALLENGE AHEAD


Viaplay has a strong history of fast and reliable streaming, and forthcoming were not gonna be different. To be able to stay at the forefront of entertainment, a high-quality streaming experience is crucial. This is where you enter the picture! Whilst working with other highly motivated and fun streaming specialists, you will be the one responsible for the functional testing of new features, regression testing of releases. We see you guiding your teammates in testing efforts and development of testing suites that you will design and have ownership of. Your daily challenges will include:


• Manual testing of the video viewing experience on all our devices - web, mobile and big screens.
• Writing test cases.
• Taking ownership of the QA process and constantly refine it.
• Troubleshooting and identifying root causes.


WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR


For the position as QA Specialist, we are looking for an outgoing individual that is up for the challenge! To succeed in this role, we believe that you have an eye for detail, are collaborative and thrive in an open and innovative environment. SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES ALSO MEET THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS:


• Degree from higher vocational university as a Test Specialist or equivalent level of work experience.
• Dedication to unit testing, UI-testing and other quality-oriented practices.
• Enthusiasm for great video quality and an eye for details.
• Big interest in learning more about testing and QA.
• As a person, you are self-going and structured. 




BONUS REQUIREMENTS THAT WILL MAKE YOU STAND OUT FROM THE REST:


• Experience from streaming services.
• Experience working with software development.
