We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer to join our global Quality Assurance team where he or she will work with other engineers to qualify and test our products, as well as gather and report on key systems performance metrics. The successful candidate will enjoy working in a fast-paced, agile organization and creating an exciting, fun, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

* Creating and executing test plans for our PSM product, including new feature and regression testing

* Working with Development and Support to understand the dynamic PCRF and OCS landscape to help drive product improvement

* Researching, configuring and using a variety of PCRF and OCS simulators and production equipment to model realistic environments

* Using Wireshark/tcpdump etc. to analyze traffic in troubleshooting scenarios

* Researching and understanding GPRS core network technologies like Gx and Gy so we can augment our testing to model these types of interfaces in our testing



Required Skill Sets/Qualifications:

* 2 year diploma in Networking Technology (or similar) or a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math or Electrical Engineering

* 1-3 years experience working with networking technologies

* Good understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, etc)

* Experience using Linux/UNIX-based systems required

* Experience with testing and analyzing applications running in Java VM for performance, especially wrt heap usage and garbage collection highly desirable

* Experience with PCRF, OCS, Gx, Gy, SOAP and related technologies highly desirable

* Python and Bash scripting skills desirable

* Understanding of Radius and/or Diameter protocols desirable

* Proven ability to tackle complex problem-solving tasks creatively

* Excellent level of oral and written English required (English is the main language used at Procera Networks.)
