Job Summary:

We are now looking for a Radio Chief Engineer.

As part of the System management organization within the Radio Products Development unit in Lund you will be part of a team of experienced system engineers and contribute to the definition, systemization, and development of innovative radio units for Ericsson’s 5G radio portfolio.

The team is involved from technology definition and early pre-study phase through development and product validation and is currently focused to leading the definition and development of the next generation of integrated multi-antenna radio systems for mmWave radio (>24GHz).

As a Chief Engineer you will play an integral role in the overall success of our development projects, you will be part of the project core team and have the overall technical responsibility for decisions on the implementation of the design.



Responsibilities:


As a Chief engineer, you will,


• Be responsible for the solution implementation for the total radio product, HW and SW
• Take decisions regarding the technical implementation in the product together with other technical leaders in the project
• Ensure with main technical coordinator, technical leaders and Strategic Product Management to agree upon requirements statement of compliance, exemptions and deviations
• Accountable for decision making regarding the specific technical implementation of the product, including:
- Technology selection
- HW and SW implementations with technical leads from Systems, SW and HW
• When needed drive teams for solving challenging problems in the project
• Coach and develop junior engineers from different teams across Ericsson



Key Qualifications:

• Education: MSc or equivalent
• Min years of experience: 10 years
• Experience from leading technical roles in product development including HW and SW
• Experience from System design
• Domain experience: Ericsson R&D in general and Radio development in particular
• You will need excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills and a good relationship builder
• Excellent written and oral communications skills in English
• Coaching & Mentoring Skills
• Customer Insight
• Business Understanding

You will need both leadership skills as well as communication and you will need to be able to negotiate with both product owners and team members. You are organized and self-motivated and perhaps most important of all, you are curious and eager to learn with a can-do attitude.
