R&D Specialist

There is an opening within the Product Development group in Stenungsund as a R&D Specialist.This is a permanent position on full time basis.The Product Development group belongs to the R&D organisation within Akzo Nobel Surfactants in Stenungsund.The group consists of chemists, engineers and specialists with deep knowledge in the areas of surface chemistry, analytical- and organic chemistry.The department executes work on new developments of surface active components used in a variety of applications including Mining, Asphalt, Petroleum, Cleaning & Care, Agro and Feed additives. The main tasks of the position will be to participate in and lead development projects in close collaboration with our internal and external customers.You will be responsible for long term development of surface chemistry methods and especially introduce and explore the use of chemometrics in the development of new products and concepts for our businesses.In the role as chemometrics- and surface chemistry specialist you will be responsible for partial projects within the frame of a program or a larger project.As a specialist you will represent Surfactants Europe internally and externally in seminars and symposia.You will also have an overall responsibility for maintaining and further developing an external network of contacts.The position may require practical work in the fields of synthesis, analytical and functional testing of our products.
