Who we are 
At Complete SW Integration & Release we design rigs and are working with base technology integration, core systems application integration, software, and electronic domain integration all the way to complete software and electronics delivery striving to maximize the test-value. We work with test strategies, enable continuous integration, and operate the complete baseline. We are also expanding our software factory community and have a responsibility across R&D to build our continuous build and configuration flow. 
The purpose of the Software Factory is to harmonize the workflows and tools to be used across R&D, with the aim to accelerate the software development at Volvo Cars. R&D Software Factory within CSIR consists of three main parts; CM, CI & Test services. All of them enable a more complete facilitation of software integration and development to take place within Volvo Cars with R&D in focus. The teams consist of highly skilled SW engineers, architects, technical leaders, product owners, scrum masters, data engineers & community leaders. 


What you will do 
The CSIR department was established to take the lead in the coming developments with electronics tests and integration on a complete level. The department is highly prioritized, and we are facing a new exciting stage. That is why we are now looking for a Release Train Engineer within the Software Factory ART to support our journey towards building a world class software test, integration and CX community. As a Release Train Engineer (RTE), you will be implementing and organizing the agile release train events and assisting the teams in delivering value to the larger solution/system. We want you to improve the processes and be a part of the way forward. You will assist in the execution, feature/capability completion tracking and report status. You will keep a clear delivery focus with value of outcome as main driver. You will promote relentless improvement and contribute with value throughout the whole solution. You will also ensure the removal and escalation of impediments, manage risk, and guide the agile release train (ART) to ensure delivered value. 


Who you are 
We believe that you have a passion for coaching teams working within embedded software systems and large-scale software development organizations. You have experience and interest in software building and CI flows, working in an agile organization following DevOps practices and Scrum. 
You have several years of experience acting in a leading position and leading larger product development assignments. You are also experienced in building software CI of large-scale embedded systems across a large organization. You are a great communicator who can create visual communication and used to making presentations in English. 
You seek to improve continuously the efficiency and drive the transformation to a digitalized way of working by moving from manual to data driven methods. You share your leadership experience to coach, support and collaborate with others that motivates others to act, grow and to take accountability for the complete system solution. You take a systematic approach to visualization and handling of architectural technical debt. Always keeping the goal in mind that our software- and electronics- architecture and processes should enable our business. You are experienced in managing different stakeholders, such as product managers, test engineers, and integration developers. 
On a personal level, you are a team player and contribute to cross-functional work. You have a technical background with an interest in SW development, DevOps methodology and have hands on SW development or SW testing skills.
