Research Engineer within Biotech to Uppsala!

Adecco Life Science is now searching for a Research Engineer for an exciting role at a well established Biotech company in Uppsala! This is a consultant assignment which is planned to start 2016-09-15 and proceed until 2017-03-15 with chances of being extended.

The role
You will participate in product development projects as well as in line activities. You will plan, perform and report laboratory work on your own or as a team.  The role includes functional test/verification of products aimed for protein purification/sample preparation and/or separation of biomolecules in the Research & Analysis area. You will also perform oral and written presentations of results and conclusions from executed studies.

Minimum Requirements

• M.Sc. degree from relevant life science discipline e.g. Biochemistry or Biotechnology
• To be able to manage your role sufficiently you need to be fluent in both Swedish and English, verbally and in writing

Qualifications

• Experience from product development and project work within a line organization
• Theoretical knowledge and practical experience of protein purification and small-scale column packing.
• Experience from work in multidisciplinary environments (chemistry & production)
• Experience of working with of ÄKTAdesign systems and UNICORN
• Experience of system specification, verification and validation
• Experience of analytical lab work and trouble shooting, including DOE
• Proven ability of planning, executing and evaluating analytical experiments
