Research Engineer

Alstom in Sweden sells and supplies a wide range of products such as gas and steam turbines, hydroelectric power systems, generators and gas treatment plants as well as trains and other products in the field of transport. The largest unit is in Växjö, which employs about 250.

ECS R&D Execution is the global Research and Development (R&D) function within Environmental Control Systems (ECS). The main part of the R&D organization is located in Växjö with a world-class laboratory facility with more than 40 researchers. Now we are searching for Research Engineer Equipment and System engineering. We offer an inspiring and international work environment in the front end of air pollution control research.

You will work as a Research Engineer within different R&D projects. You will be responsible for documenting and communicating your results in technical reports and design manuals. You will also provide support and trouble shooting in commercial project within your technical expertise. You will have the opportunity to suggest product design improvements and new R&D initiatives. You will in this position be responsible for leading the development of the equipment and system design for specific product lines.

You have an engineering degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or similar. You have experience in power industry or other process industries and knowledge of AQCS technologies. As a person you show a strong commitment to the achievements of objectives and are able to work independently. You are open-minded and contribute with ideas. You easily co-operate with other disciplines and have an excellent communication skill, both verbal and written.

The position is based in Växjö, Sweden but you will work with an international team, therefore fluent English is required.
