Research Scientist - Protein Crystallography

We are looking for you who have a PhD in a subject relevant to protein crystallography OR a first degree in a chemical or biological science combined with at least 12 months laboratory based experience of protein crystallisation. And who will work in an expanding pharmaceutical company in the Stockholm area. You need to have experience of protein and protein-ligand complex crystallisation and the screening of crystallisation conditions. Key Responsibility Areas will be: - Manipulation of proteins and ligands for the generation of single crystals of protein-ligand complexes for X-ray structure determination. - Preparation of crystals for data collection. - Liasing with members in other departments on the supply of protein for crystallisation and the design of protein constructs. This is a temporary position for approximately one year. You will be employed by Aktivia Science Work AB but will be working at our client pharmaceutical company in the Stockholm area. Since this is a temporary position it is an advantage to live in the Stockholm area or to be able to easily arrange for living there.
