As a member of the WACQT team, you will take part in building the Swedish quantum computer.

Information about the department
The Wallenberg Center for Quantum Technology – WACQT – is a 12-year initiative, that started in 2018. The goals of the center are to advance Swedish academia and industry to the forefront of quantum technology, and to build a Swedish quantum computer. We are now looking for a permanent researcher to strengthen the quantum computer team.

The position is at the Quantum Technology Laboratory (QTL) at the Department of Microtechnology and Nanoscience (MC2). QTL conducts research within the field of quantum technology, focusing on quantum computing, quantum sensing, quantum transduction, quantum thermodynamics, and quantum foundations. MC2 conducts basic and applied research into future electronics, photonics, bio and nano systems.

Job description
The position has two parts: improving analysis and handling of large amounts of data, including the use of machine learning techniques, and helping in developing our project management in the center.

Contract terms
Permanent employment.

Qualifications
The successful candidate should have a PhD in physics and substantial research experience. He/she should have experience in handling large data sets, and leadership experience.
