Position description and work tasks
We are looking for a skilled Ph.D. or a Postdoctoral fellow in the area of production logistics, to join our educational and research projects related to the development of internal production logistics and the implementation of Industry 4.0 in the production logistics.

The tasks of the position mainly consist of research, in the area of production logistics. The position includes some teaching and supervision of master and bachelor students. Work duties also cover development of courses and teaching in production logistics.

In addition, the appointment requires to actively create new funding and applications for research grants in the area of production logistics, and to participate in strengthening the research and managing of projects in collaboration with industrial and academic partners.

The candidate is expected to work closely with the MDH staff and other scientific partners, as well as the national industrial partners of the university.

Qualification requirements
The qualification requirement for appointment as a Researcher is degree of Doctor in relevant field/subject.

 We are searching for you who has:


• Research experience and knowledge of production logistics
• Experience with empirical research conducted in industrial settings
• Experience of different forms of collaborative research projects, in particular industrial cooperation research projects.
• Experience from teaching of master and bachelor level and professionals, particularly in the area of internal logistics, logistics development, production system development or implementation of industry 4.0.
• Experience of supervision of master/bachelor thesis students
• Already developed academic and industrial networks

The applicant must have demonstrated the academic skills required for the appointment. Academic skills may also have been demonstrated by the ability to achieve results in research through cooperation in joint projects of benefit to academia and industry/the public sector/society in general and through the ability to disseminate research.

Publication in leading conferences and journals, as well as a track record of collaboration with industrial partners are merit.

Understanding of industrial production settings and needs is an important aspect. In particular, experience in the fields of production logistics and industry 4.0 and collaborative research with industry are considered of merit.

The applicant should have demonstrated the ability to carry out both independent and team-based research within a national environment, as well as worked with the transfer of research findings towards industrial application is a merit.

Previous experience in teaching and supervision of students is a merit.

Since the position implies research in close collaboration with industrial partners and teaching to program students and professionals, proof of Swedish knowledge is a merit.
