Brand Management Operations team - let’s introduce ourselves
The team consists of several vital functions, necessary to drive our department forward. We actively collaborate, empower others and succeed together. We’re a team consisting of specialist functions within a variety of areas, working fully cross-functional with production teams, asset development, media and project management to drive success of all Volvo Cars marketing activities jointly! 

Rights Manager – this is what you’ll do
This role will be responsible for all our music, talent and other related production rights across our marketing productions and activations. Your role will be to work with the key creative decision makers of each project to collectively determine the musical/talent vision, tone and style that best suits every project that will come under your responsibility. You will work closely with several functions to define, negotiate and manage talent- and music rights to any given visual media production (TV commercials, web films, corporate logo, advertising, etc.). In order to succeed it is important to not only set rights agreements, but also to monitor and manage those rights continuously to ensure compliance over time.

You will create a process and solution on how to track the different rights and in a planful way and stay on top of any re-negotiations or actions needed over time. You will also be the SPOC to our legal department covering relevant topics and internal asks to ensure full compliance and financial feasibility within our projects. 

You will work short term with existing campaigns but also long term using a strategic mindset to understand how we can be smart and efficient over time. Together with our Marketing team and allied agencies you will identify music and talent partnership opportunities for integration in the development or promotional campaign of all our content. 

We’re looking for you!
We’re looking for a person which has significant experience from the music industry (record label, music publisher, distribution), advertising, film or a similar industry (television, cinema, etc.), in an international environment. You should have profound knowledge within rights management and have strong negotiation skills. We are looking for a person that can balance the creative part of the process, as well as the business side of the same. You have a strategic mindset on how to be smart in the music set up using the right music at the right place, in right time. 

To succeed in this role it is fundamental to have a true passion for the industry, to foresee and track new industry trends as well as establish strong relationships with labels- and music publishing companies to gain latest the insights from the industry- and share these insights with the rest of the teams!

Qualifications:
•    You have several years’ experience of rights management within relevant industry (music, advertising, film) 
•    You have experience in all phases of music design and production (recording sessions, technical implementation, knowledge of cost associated, etc.).
•    You have solid experience for negotiating contracts for music licensing. 
•    You have a demonstrated skills within music production and available sources for music/talent 
•    Thanks to your strong interpersonal and communication skills, you are able to interact well with all levels of business partners. 
•    Fluency in English is a must, both written and verbal. Fluency in Swedish is a plus!
