Safety Development Engineer

LeanNova Engineering is an engineering service company situated in Trollhättan, Sweden, created in 2012 by former engineers from Saab Automobile AB. Together with our main investor Fouriertransform AB, we are developing the company to compete internationally, mainly focusing on the automotive industry. We offer our customers excellence in development and integration of systems and attributes for complete vehicles. We have since the start-up in February 2012 grown to over 150 employees with a majority of former Saab engineers but also persons with other experiences. We will continue to grow rapidly and we plan to open offices in Shanghai and Gothenburg.

Position description

As a Safety Development Engineer you will focus on complete vehicle performance regarding passive crash safety. The work could include preparation, integration and validation phases. In a preparation phase you work with benchmark, target setting and breakdown, creation of validation plans, concept selections etc. In an integration phase you participate in the vehicle development and integrate systems and components in order to fulfill the Safety targets required by the customer. This includes coordination of suppliers, simulations and test activities. In the validation phase you will perform crash tests and evaluate and report the results.

We are now looking for Safety engineers with experience from the vehicle industry. Depending on experience and background focus could be on different phases (preparation, integration or validation). There are several requests from our customers to have Safety engineers on site, so we look for persons that are interested in working outside Sweden part time or for a longer period.

Skills & Requirements

-Relevant education and experience from Safety development in vehicle industry
-Experience from crash testing and evaluation
-Knowledge in consumer ratings and legal requirements for crash safety
-English in speech and writing
-Good team player/communicator
-Flexibility regarding travels and/or working abroad
